#46 – Bad News Bears (2005)

When: Sunday, October 1, 2012

With Who: Just Me

Where: La Casa

How: Netflix Streaming

Why: Why not?

It’s probably been a while, so for more info about this movie figure out what to do next.

Hey, here’s a stretch. Put Billy Bob Thornton in a position where he’s drinking and not giving a crap about anyone. This very original concept would require a great deal of acting on his part to make it believable, and since it’s never been done before it will be tricky. But I think…..

Oh wait, what movie is this I’m writing about? Bad News Bears or Bad Santa? Aren’t they the same movie? Well, maybe not. BNB didn’t have a little person like Bad Santa. Oh wait, yeah it did. It had a few. Ok ok, it didn’t have any adult little people in it. Yeah, that works.

Nothing to write home about here. The kids were funniest of all. Billy Bob played the same character as in Bad Santa, but without the suit. Bad Santa was funnier.

My thoughts:

  • Why do they always act like the boozer, don’t-give-a-crap, you’re nobody to me loser will suddenly have a change of heart and decide to coach for real within about an hour. Usually they don’t change. They can’t change.  They have no interest in changing.
  • Happy endings don’t always work. I’ll just leave it at that in case you haven’t seen the movie.
  • Um, that’s it

Probably will never see this movie again. If you never catch it, well, your life won’t be impacted one way or the other. If you have some time and would like to watch something….this probably isn’t the first movie you’d pick.

14 to go…..
